Student Employment
Brevard Music Center students in the college division may apply for employment as Teaching Assistants or Resident Advisors. (Because of the rehearsal schedule of the Janiec Opera Company, students in the Opera program are not eligible.)
Note: Summer job opportunities for interns and stage crew are described on the Employment Opportunities page.
Teaching Assistants
A limited number of positions are available for advanced students who have an interest in developing teaching skills. Duties for Teaching Assistants (TA) may include coaching in younger ensembles, conducting sectional rehearsals, and assisting faculty. - submit the separate teaching assistantship application
Teaching Assistants must arrive on June 20, 2010.
Resident Advisors
Brevard's Resident Advisors (RAs) supervise student living quarters and provide guidance to younger students. Two RAs live in each high school residence, one RA lives in each college residence. RAs have the same ensemble and performance opportunities as other college division students. Resident Advisors receive up to full tuition, room and board, and a stipend of $400 as compensation for early arrival and training.
An RA applicant must:
