Situated on 180 wooded acres in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the Brevard Music Center campus is home to one of this country’s premier summer training programs and festivals.

Welcoming 1,000 students and 40,000 audience members each summer, the Brevard Music Center comes to life and music fills every space of our campus. The world’s most talented students and extraordinary faculty and guest artists practice and rehearse side by side studios and onstage.

One hundred concerts from classical orchestra and opera to jazz and bluegrass take place in our primary performance venues including the 1,800-seat, open-air Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium and the intimate 400-seat Parker Concert Hall.

For decades the Brevard Music Center has inspired devotion not only among its students and faculty but also among its listeners and among a vast corps of volunteers. That hundreds of persons have purchased homes in western North Carolina expressly to be near the Brevard Music Center gives some measure of the Center’s significance to its community.
