Tuition
The cost of attending the Brevard Music Center is $4700 for the 2008 summer session. The single fee includes:
- tuition
- room and board for 6 1/2 to 8 weeks, depending on program
- private lesson fee
- on-campus health services
- admission to all Festival events (more than 80 events in the full session)
Students in the Piano Program may attend for the full session or may attend either the first or second half. The cost for attending a half session is $2350. The half-session fee includes the items listed above, but for three weeks. Half-session piano or voice students are not eligible for financial aid and may not participate in Brevard's performance competitions.
Financial Aid
Over 90% of students at the Brevard Music Center receive financial aid. This can awarded as a merit scholarship, work study, or both.

Security Deposit
All Brevard Music Center students must provide a $50 security deposit in addition to tuition. The security deposit is refunded in full after the season unless a student has participated in the defacement or destruction of property. Loss or damage to music and other unpaid fees may be charged against this deposit.
Payment Schedule

A non-refundable application fee of $50 (plus an additional $25 correspondence fee for students outside the U.S. and Canada) must be submitted when the application is submitted. An application is not evaluated until the fee is submitted. The fee is applied towards tuition upon enrollment. For Teaching Assistants and Head Residents, the application fee is not applied toward tuition but becomes the security deposit.
Students who are employed as Teaching Assistants or Head Residents must pay a $300 reservation fee, refundable after registration.
All other students must pay a $500 reservation fee. This fee is not refundable but will be applied to tuition for enrolled students.
The balance of all fees is due and payable by Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
All payments may be made by cash, personal check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, or Discover card.
No deductions or refunds will be made for late arrival, early departure, or disciplinary separation from the Center.

A student may request lessons in a secondary instrument; whether secondary study can be offered in a particular instrument depends on space available in the teaching schedule. Six thirty-minute lessons would incur an additional fee of $180. Secondary lessons may be taught by teaching assistants.
For students receiving college credit, there is a service fee of $15 per credit hour to cover administrative costs.
